#1 - LOOK OUT THE WINDOW
I had a sink full of dishes and a crockpot dinner to start on while the baby was napping, but as I passed by the window, I stopped. I stopped the internal commotion and let myself take a few minutes to watch the enchanting snowfall. This is my first winter in Fayetteville, North Carolina and I've heard it doesn't snow often. I'm glad I took a moment to appreciate a rare scene; it helped me regroup and center.
I owe some of my happiest daily moments to seeing something intriguing right outside my window. A beautiful landscape, a great storm, an interesting person...
Take a quick moment - take a quick look - and let yourself linger if something catches your eye. Breathe. Smile. Then get back to the task at hand.
